<＾Winter Sonata￣ Animation Trailer> Successful Press Conference for the Announcement of the Production of the Animation The ＾Winter Sonata￣ animation will be based on the spirit and story of the original drama. The focus of the plot of the animation will be a 3 year period of the lives of ＾Junsang￣ and ＾Youjin,￣ who left for New York and Paris in the final episode of the original drama. On December 14 at the Yokohama Arenna Sentania Hall, the Korean and Japanese production crews got the opportunity to greet the press and a trailer which focuses on ＾Youjin￣ in France was shown. In addition, the media reporters and other spectators gave an enthusiastic response to the video interview of Choi Ji Woo, who played the ＾Youjin￣ role in the drama and who will also play the same role in the animation. The ＾Winter Sonata￣ animation will be developed into a television series of 26 episodes through a coproduction arrangement under which the Japanese production staff will be in charge of pre-production, and the Korean production staff will handle the main production. The planning and production of the ＾Winter Sonata￣ animation is being handled by the ＾Winter Sonata Production Committee,￣ which was established by certain entities including the Japanese subsidiary of the Asian cultural content company Keyeast Co., Ltd., BOF International Inc., and it has attracted much attention as a Korea-Japan coproduction for which Bae Yong Joon and Choi Ji Woo will contribute their voices and the prominent animation director Sung Baek Yup has agreed to be the director. Bae to meet with 100,000 Japanese fans
Bae Yong-joon, known as "Yonsama" by his Japanese fans, will meet with an estimated 100,000 this September according to the 37-year-old Hallyu star's management company, Boundaries of Forest (BOF). BOF said yesterday "The Tokyo Dome can hold over 40,000 so over a two-day span we're looking at a maximum fan turn-out of around 90,000. If we take the estimated 10,000 that will hopefully attend live satellite broadcasts around movie multiplexes throughout Japan, we're estimating a ballpark figure of 100,000 total."
